Episode 2 — Fonder une famille

The SAVIE-LGBTQ podcast – a project of the Chaire de recherche sur la diversité sexuelle et la pluralité des genres

From 2016 to 2023, the SAVIE-LGBTQ study examined LGBTQ+ people’s experiences of social inclusion and exclusion in key areas for their flourishing (personal, professional, economic, etc). Thousands of LGBTQ+ people living in Quebec shared their stories, concerns and hopes.

Lutter, bâtir, exister : récits LGBTQ+ brings these testimonies to life. Each episode explores a theme of daily life — finding a place to live, starting a family, working, getting older — through the voices of LGBTQ+ folks and their relatives, as well as scholars and professionals.

This podcast is an opportunity to hear these stories from within : unique trajectories, real obstacles, but also strategies for resistance, solidarity and joy. This is an invitation to listen in a different way. To understand. And maybe, to change.
