The Summer Institute on Infertility and Assisted Reproduction is offering advanced training on contemporary issues in assisted reproduction (AR). This three-day event is aimed at professionals who work with people involved in AR, as well as researchers and students whose research interests lie in this field, or who wish to develop expertise in this area. The Summer Institute will provide an opportunity for professional development for participants, providing them with cutting-edge knowledge in the field.
The Institute is built on international best practices, bringing together speakers from the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, alongside researchers and experts from Quebec and across Canada. Activities will include thematic sessions, clinical workshops, a roundtable with people with lived experience of infertility and ART, and a public screening focusing on solo fatherhood. Simultaneous French and English translation will be available for the thematic sessions and the roundtable.
The 2026 Summer Institute include a variety of topics including donor-conceived adolescents, professional posture in psychosocial consultations related to gamete donation, the role of grandparents in third-party reproduction family projects, and the experience of pregnancy after assisted reproduction. One full day will be dedicated to communication skills, with a focus on delivering difficult news and supporting patients through uncertainty (for in-person attendance only).
